Abstract

This is the article researching the manipulation of the post-Soviet media from the analytics and social cultural viewpoint. Moreover, it establishes principle criteria of manipulation efficiency and elucidates, its status and characteristics of the manipulation. Furthermore, the article investigates the factors of mental marked creativity in advertising, and determines media texts of the 21st century, and traces changes in the ideological, thematic, and genre-stylistic system of “Soviet” journalism in the 21st century. As a result, the authors establish specific characteristics of evolution of the manipulation of the post-Soviet media. The present research is based on the comprehensive approach. The inductive and deductive methods are adopted to discuss theoretical materials, and the interdisciplinary research method is used to detect postmodernism’s specific features as an advertising philosophy, media infodemia. The interpretive approach, usually employed to analyse advertising text as a complex synthetic structure, was also taken into consideration. The application of the semantic and stylistic method identifies the stylistic means substantiating the ideological, esthetical and informative value of advertising and media text. Media conveys an artistic significance, cultural meanings and assessments to essentially commercial products.
