Abstract

The article examines the features of the functioning of crisis journalism in the activities of regional media and its role in the formation of the local information environment. The relevance of the study is due to the general need for prompt, balanced and reliable coverage of crisis events at the local level. This issue requires special attention in the context of armed conflicts, man-made disasters, socio-political upheavals and other extreme situations that affect the lives of territorial communities. Functional characteristics of regional media as an important subject of local information interaction, which provide prompt information to the population, contribute to the formation of public trust, community consolidation and counteraction to disinformation influences.
