Photojournalism of COVID-19: World experience and coverage in Ukrainian media
Abstract
This paper attempts to study and summarise the experience of photojournalists in the world and in Ukraine in the context of coronavirus disease. In particular, it has been found that there is no methodology for evaluating and searching for images with their semantic component. Open source intelligence methods have been used to establish the dependencies and sources of origin, as well as the subject of photographs used by the Ukrainian media to illustrate coronavirus disease. A review of the practices of foreign photojournalists working in coronavirus disease is also done and a number of recommendations are summarised.
